Government of Pará reaches 25 thousand certifications through the 'Capacita COP30' Program
State expands qualification opportunities in strategic areas for the world conference on climate change, such as tourism, gastronomy, infrastructure, and security
The Government of Pará has reached the milestone of 25 thousand certifications through the 'Capacita COP30' Program, an initiative that offers free courses in areas directly related to the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30) taking place in Belém. The public policy has established itself as a reference in professional qualification, expanding opportunities, valuing local labor, and strengthening strategic sectors such as tourism, gastronomy, infrastructure, and security.
The 11th cycle of the program started in August, with the opening of 690 new spots distributed across 23 classes. Developed by the State Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Higher, Professional, and Technological Education (Sectet), the initiative expands training opportunities and already benefits thousands of people in different municipalities in Pará.
Maître Jorge Castro, 60, is one of the participants in the Hospitality and Accommodation course. “In my professional career, it is very important to stay updated on market trends and acquire new knowledge to always provide excellent service. This is a very good course that encourages us to offer high-quality personalized service at COP30 and to enhance this knowledge for our daily work,” he emphasizes.
Legacy – According to the head of Sectet, Victor Dias, the qualifications strengthen the legacy of COP30 by preparing the people of Pará to work in the job market and meet the demands generated by the United Nations (UN) conference, which will take place in November this year. “The 'Capacita' is not just a strategic action for COP30, but a lasting investment in the qualification of our people. The conference is an important milestone, but our commitment goes beyond the event. We want to ensure that the people of Pará are prepared to occupy, with excellence, the positions that arise now and, especially, those that will remain afterward,” the secretary reinforced.
The online training modules, in partnership with Coca Cola, Cielo, and the Social Transport Service and National Learning Service of Transport (Sest-Senat), continue with open registrations. More information about courses and opportunities is available on the official program website at www.capacitacop30.pa.gov.br.
Opportunity – To connect those who have qualified with the job openings during and after COP30, the Government of Pará maintains the digital tool 'Professionals COP 30', integrated into the program. In it, graduates of 'Capacita COP30' can register their resumes and certifications, and companies in the tourism, hospitality, services, and gastronomy sectors can access the database to find profiles and conduct selection processes. Registration is free and can be done through the website https://www.profissionaiscop30.pa.gov.br/.
