Semas opens registrations for donations of equipment for prevention and combat of forest fires
The donations are intended for the action of firefighters in the field, in order to ensure more safety and agility in facing wildfires and fires
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for the Environment, Climate and Sustainability (Semas), has opened registrations to collect donations of movable goods intended for the State Program for the Prevention and Combat of Wildfires and Forest Fires (Pepif). The Program, established by decree in June 2025, aims to plan, monitor, and execute actions aimed at the prevention and confrontation of forest fires.
“The Pepif is one of the main tools that the Government of Pará is structuring to protect our forests and populations. Each donation received directly strengthens the action of firefighters in the field, ensuring more safety and agility in facing fires. This is a call for the union of efforts: government, institutions, and society walking together for the preservation of the environment and the quality of life of the people of Pará,” highlighted the Secretary of State for the Environment, Climate and Sustainability, Raul Protázio Romão.

The announcement lists the necessary equipment for firefighters and invites individuals and legal entities to support the fight against fires throughout Pará. The list of accepted equipment for donation includes safety helmets for forest fire combat; protective goggles; fire balaclavas; unisex short-sleeve t-shirts; pairs of long black socks; modular tactical belts; 900 ml tactical thermal canteens; machetes with plastic handles; 100% cotton uniforms; 100% cotton pants; leather firefighting boots; pairs of leather gloves; LED flashlights; AA alkaline batteries; forest fire suppressors; PVC backpack pumps; sickles; hoes with wooden handles; pointed shovels with wooden handles; boxes with 50 PFF1 masks and disposable respirators.
First donations - In addition to the financial support from the Sustainable Amazon Foundation (FAS) and the German Development Bank (KFW), Semas has already received the first donations, including 11 backpack blowers, 200 pairs of used leather firefighting boots, and 103 uniforms, reinforcing the partnership with institutions that encourage environmental preservation actions.
Individuals, both national and foreign, in regular status in Brazil, as well as legal entities, consortia, and groups of companies can donate. Proposals must include the registration form, identification documents (CPF and RG), donation proposal, and proof of ownership of the goods.
Donors will be responsible for the transportation and delivery costs of the items, which, after the formalization of the donation agreement, will become part of the State's assets. The extracts of the agreements made will be published in the State Official Gazette.
The receipt of donations will be conducted by an Evaluation Committee, formed by public servants designated in a Semas ordinance. The committee will analyze the documentation and approve the proposals, ensuring technical rigor, administrative integrity, and impartiality at all stages of the process.
Companies and individuals presenting donation proposals must fully comply with the norms of the Anti-Corruption Law (Federal Law No. 12.846/2013), the Civil Code, State Decree No. 2.289/2018, and other applicable legislation. After fulfilling the processes, deliveries can be made at the Semas headquarters, located at Travessa Lomas Valentinas, 2717, in Belém, or at the regional offices located in the municipalities.
Registrations can be made until December 31, 2025, exclusively by email: [email protected], with the subject “DONATION PEPIF”.
