Seizure in the Araguaia region

Inspection carried out by the team of state revenue inspectors from the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of the Araguaia, from the Secretary of Finance of Pará (Sefa), in the southeastern part of the state, seized, on Tuesday (19), four groups of generators, originating from Betim (MG), intended for a non-taxpayer company located in Canaã dos Carajás, in southeastern Pará. The seizure occurred on Highway PA 447, km 15, in Conceição do Araguaia.

The drivers of the trailers presented tax documents. The inspection analyzed the presented documents and found a discrepancy in the collection of the differential rate of ICMS (Difal) due to the State of Pará,” reported coordinator Renato Couto.

The total value of the generators is R$ 3.033 million, and four Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 119,535.80, referring to the tax plus a fine, which was collected and the goods released.

Towers – Also, on Tuesday (19), at the Sefa unit in Araguaia, two self-supporting towers were seized, with a total value of R$ 149,173.76. The invoice indicated the origin in Pinhais (PR) and destination at the same address.

According to Sefa, the driver of the trailer presented tax documents for the shipment of two self-supporting towers, in internal operation in Paraná (PR), but the inspection verified that the material sent to the State of Pará would be internalized in Pará, which characterizes a breach of transit, when the invoice indicates one destination and the goods go to another location.

A TAD was issued in the amount of R$51,017.42 referring to tax and fine, which was collected and the goods released.

Weighbridge - During an inspection carried out at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Sefa in Carajás, southeastern state, also on Tuesday (19), a weighbridge was seized, valued at R$ 105 thousand, covered by an electronic invoice indicating an interstate sale of fixed assets.

The seizure occurred at the fiscal post of the Carajás Railway. The goods left Santa Tereza do Oeste-PR, destined for Barcarena-PA.

“In the analysis of the documentation, the irregular registration status of the recipient company was verified, characterizing the non-collection of the differential rate of ICMS (Difal), applicable in interstate operations destined for taxpayers,” explained the unit coordinator, Cicinato Oliveira.

A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 17,640.00, already considering the due ICMS and the fine. The term was settled, and the goods were released.
