Amazônia Jazz Band celebrates the classics of Gordon Goodwin
The show featured singer Malu Guedelha performing original songs

The audience filled Theatro da Paz on Thursday night, the 14th, to reunite with Amazônia Jazz Band for a special concert of Gordon Goodwin's music.
“The Jazz Police,” “Horn of Puente,” “Samba Del Gringo” were some of the songs that were part of the Big Band's repertoire in tribute to the American pianist and saxophonist.
The show also gained a very regional touch with the participation of Pará singer Malu Guedelha, who performed original songs with arrangements by Amazônia Jazz Band.
For Jhonatan Ricardo, a student of the Sustainable Orchestra of Sesi, attending the concert of Amazônia Jazz Band is always a mix of emotions. “It was very good, I liked it a lot and I was very moved. This is the second time I come and it’s always a very good show.”
The initiative is a realization of the Government of Pará through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), Theatro da Paz, Paraense Academy of Music (APM), with master sponsorship from the Vale Cultural Institute via the Federal Law of Incentive to Culture.
