An inspection action by the Integrated Fluvial Base Candiru, under the “Protector of Borders and Boundaries” Operation, in Óbidos, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (14), resulted in the seizure of 6 packages of skank-type drugs and the arrest in the act of a man responsible for the illicit material. The arrest occurred during inspections on the vessel F/B Rondônia, which transports passengers and vehicles, originating from Manaus bound for Belém.

In the Act

During the approach, the security agents were inspecting vehicles, cargo, and passengers when the sniffer dog “Isis” indicated a sound box wrapped in cardboard. Upon thorough inspection, six packages of pressed drugs weighing 7 kilograms were found inside it.

In light of the facts, a 41-year-old man responsible for the “order” was arrested in the act for drug trafficking.

The investigated individual and the narcotics were taken to the Candiru Base and presented to the Civil Police team for appropriate procedures.

“We continue to act, uninterruptedly, to curb any criminal practice being carried out that utilizes the rivers of the state. This time, more than 7kg of drugs were seized, dismantling trafficking and demonstrating that we continue with ongoing actions to combat illicit activities, whether on the rivers or on the land routes of Pará,” stated Ualame Machado, head of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense.

The action was integrated by agents from the Public Safety Fluvial Group (GFlu), linked to the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) in conjunction with Military Police and Civil Police.
