UsiPaz de Capanema performs over 6,000 services in two months of operation
The complex becomes a reference for strengthening social transformation, public safety, and citizenship in northeastern Pará
With 6,238 services already provided, the Usina da Paz de Capanema, in two months of operation, is increasingly gaining recognition as a reference in supporting demands involving social transformation, public safety, and citizenship in northeastern Pará. This is the 14th unit delivered by the State Government.
"In these first two months, the Usina da Paz has already become a meeting point and a place of transformation for the residents of Capanema. It is gratifying to see families participating, children and young people discovering talents, and the population recognizing that this space truly belongs to them. The UsiPaz is the result of a work designed to care for people, strengthen citizenship, and ensure new opportunities for the people of Pará," emphasizes Elieth Braga, Secretary of Citizenship and Labor (Seac).
The educator Isabela Gonçalves was delighted with the structure of the citizenship complex. “I came to see the spaces of the Usina, especially the library, and I was very surprised to find such a structure in Capanema. I invite everyone to come and see this project that is incredibly good. The real winners are the people of Capanema,” she states.
Located in the Jardim América Residential Area, the UsiPaz de Capanema has a wide modern structure, with rooms equipped for medical and dental services, document issuance, vocational courses, social assistance, as well as other spaces like a sports gym, libraries, computer and music rooms, a swimming pool, an open court, a multicultural square, among other facilities.
According to the director of UsiPaz Capanema, Eliete Silva, the space promotes concrete transformations in the lives of the municipality's residents, through the provision of free services and activities that were previously not available so closely. “The presence of the Usina brings essential public services closer to the population, fosters social inclusion, and creates opportunities for education, leisure, and sports,” highlights Eliete.
The student Maria Clara is one of the participants in the basic computer course at the unit. “I want to thank for the opportunity I had to access this qualification for free. This course will help me with my schoolwork, my career, and also in my resume in the future,” she celebrates.
USINAS - The project is part of the Territories for Peace program (TerPaz). Since 2021, with the delivery of the first Usina da Paz, the citizenship complexes have already guaranteed over 10.1 million services.
