ParáPaz Foundation promotes meeting at UsiPaz Guamá to empower and protect women
Promoted by the ParáPaz Foundation, the initiative included lectures, cultural presentations, a craft fair, and physical activities to strengthen female leadership and combat violence

Amid the mobilizations of August Lilac, a campaign for the end of violence against women, UsiPaz Guamá, in Belém, was the stage for a meeting that united information, culture, and the appreciation of women, on the morning of this Thursday, the 14th.
The initiative, promoted by the ParáPaz Foundation, brought together about 400 women in a day of diverse programming, designed to strengthen, inspire, and raise awareness about the importance of combating all forms of gender violence.
To ensure the comfortable participation of all, the activities were held simultaneously, as explained by the ParáPaz coordinator at UsiPaz Guamá, Lilian Gusmão. “While one group exercised outdoors in the ‘Mover Bem-Estar’ pilates class, the other attended lectures in the auditorium with information about the different types of violence, where and how to seek help, guidance on entrepreneurship and employability.”
In addition, there were also cultural presentations and a craft fair, with the participation of women from the community.
