The meeting was conducted by the president of the Council, Ualame Machado, Secretary of State for Public Security and Social Defense, who highlighted the contribution of the new councilor to the collegiate, especially in the formation of the committee for major events in Pará, such as the Pará football championship.

“It is with satisfaction that we swear in, once again, the councilor who has previously contributed to this Council, especially in a committee in which he still works today, that of the fans, which has now extended to the Events Committee. This Committee serves not only football matches but also the control of the public and organization for major events that our State receives today. Through him, we can organize, order, and provide the best security for all participants. It is very good to have him with us again for new ideas in favor of public safety,” emphasized the president of Consep.

For councilor José Maria Gomes, returning to the Council is a way to help and serve society. “I am at everyone's disposal. I am here to contribute and deliver the best I have to offer to our civil society for the improvement of public safety actions,” said the representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State.

Recognition and technology - On this occasion, there was also recognition for the work of five military police officers, awarded by the National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp) for creating an application focused on the mental health of public agents, “Ajuda+”. The application, developed by the Military Police of Pará, brings public security agents closer to mental health professionals, in order to offer, through technology, specialized support and self-care as an incentive for professionals who need psychological support to seek help.

Commander of the PM, Colonel Dilson Júnior: 'effective functionality'

“Since we took command of the Military Police in January 2019, we have already achieved some important milestones in this area of technology. This same team awarded nationally by Senasp had also produced the 'SOS PM', our application aimed at the defense of public agents, as well as conceived the 'SOS Maria da Penha'. This shows that the work developed in the technological area by the PM provides servers with applications that have effective functionality for immediate use. This last one, for which we were awarded, has the main function of saving the lives of our agents,” highlighted the commander of the Military Police, Colonel Dilson Júnior.

“We know that today one of the main bottlenecks in public safety is the care of mental health and the well-being of those who live daily under high stress, like our police officers. This extends to other security agents. With this tool, we can provide our agents with a way to bring them closer to more specialized care. We are very pleased to recognize this initiative and, soon, make it available to everyone in the State Security System,” emphasized Secretary Ualame Machado.
