State guarantees free transportation for visitors to the Usina da Paz in Marituba
Service begins operating on Thursday (14), facilitating community access to education, sports, culture, health, and citizenship services offered at the complex
Residents of Marituba, a municipality in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, now have free transportation to the Usina da Paz. The initiative by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Citizenship Articulation (Seac), aims to facilitate and expand community access to education, sports, culture, health, and citizenship services offered for free at the complex.
The vehicle will have predefined schedules and routes, passing through different neighborhoods and strategic points in the municipality. The service is especially aimed at families living in more remote areas, ensuring convenience and safety in traveling to the Usina.
During the delivery of the new vehicle to the users of the Usina da Paz, the head of Seac, Elieth Braga, highlighted the importance of the initiative. “Today, we are delivering the transportation that will facilitate the movement of people who often come from afar to use the services of the Usina da Paz here in Marituba. Many residents have difficulties getting here. This is a first step to facilitate this access. We will continue working to expand the service and ensure that all residents of the municipality can access this transformative project,” emphasized the secretary.
The coordinator of the Usina da Paz in Marituba, Igor Castro, said that “today is a special day, as we are receiving our much-desired van, so that the Usina da Paz can stop being just for the Nova União neighborhood and also serve residents from all over our city of Marituba.”
Fundamental support - For the community, the service will help access the Usina, said resident Luane Barral. According to her, “this service will mainly facilitate our transportation. Now, with the van, I can come with peace of mind and even participate in more activities. Thank you to everyone involved for this support to the population, as residents have always asked for this transportation.”
Resident of Bairro Novo, Reneide Trindade, who frequently undergoes medical exams at the complex, said that the transportation will greatly help her routine. “Sometimes, I wouldn’t come because I depended on a ride, or it took a long time to walk. With this service, I know I will be able to get there and back home without worrying,” she said.
Service: The official transportation to the Usina da Paz in Marituba will start operating on Thursday (14). At this initial stage, the van will make trips in the morning, departing from the Usina da Paz at 7 am, 8:15 am, 9:30 am, 11 am, and 12:15 pm. The itinerary includes specific points in the neighborhoods of União, Uriboca Velho, Almir Gabriel, Rio Doce, Canaã, Boa Vista, and Viver Melhor.
The service is free and limited to the vehicle's passenger capacity. More information can be obtained directly at the reception of the Usina da Paz Antônia Corrêa (Rua Bom Sossego, s/n, Setor V, bairro Nova União - Marituba).
