General Hospital of Tailândia brings health guidance to students of Youth and Adult Education
About 60 students from the Municipal Elementary School Maria do Socorro Ricarte Lopes attended the lecture on disease prevention affecting men and women
The General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT), in the southeastern region of Pará, conducted an educational action in the health area at a public school in the municipality, involving students from the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) classes. The objective was to reinforce guidance and information on women's and men's health.
The action took place this week at the Municipal Elementary School Maria do Socorro Ricarte Lopes. The session was led by the doctor and Technical Director of HGT, Eduardo Rocha, who explained the format of the meeting. “We organized the activity in two moments, separating the female and male audiences to facilitate dialogue and address specific topics for each group,” he said.
During the presentation to the female students, the doctor discussed the National Policy for Comprehensive Women's Health Care (PNAISM), highlighting aspects such as access and reception in health services, sexual and reproductive health, maternity, care during pregnancy, and prevention of prevalent diseases. “We also talked about the importance of disease screening, prevention of violence and accidents, and care in the aging process,” informed Eduardo Rocha.
The program also included guidance on teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), accident prevention, and healthy lifestyle habits. About 60 people participated in the activity.
The director of the educational unit, Marcilene Veloso, highlighted the relevance of the initiative for the school community. “The Socorro Ricarte School is immensely grateful to HGT for the beautiful and enriching lecture on women's and men's health, held for our EJA students. Our special thanks to Dr. Eduardo, who with dedication, clarity, and professionalism shared valuable knowledge,” said the school manager.
Self-care - In the session for the male audience, the discussion focused on the National Policy for Comprehensive Men's Health Care (PNAISH). The doctor highlighted issues related to access to health services, reception, sexual and reproductive health, responsible fatherhood, and disease prevention.
“We also emphasized the importance of self-care, prevention, and early diagnosis, stressing that seeking medical care regularly and adopting healthy habits are fundamental measures to maintain quality of life,” reiterated the doctor.
