Those interested in participating in the free advanced computer workshop, promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), have until the end of the morning next Tuesday, 12, to register. Classes will be held from August 12 to 28, from 2 PM to 6 PM, at the Arthur Vianna Public Library (BPAV) in Belém. Registrations are virtual through the form, available here.
The classes will be taught by instructor Fábio Luan, with the support of monitor Fernando Figueira. "The goal of the workshop is to deepen participants' knowledge in applied computing, focusing on the professional use of essential tools in the job market," explains Fábio Luan.
The workshop will have a workload of 40 hours and will provide certificates for participants with at least 90% attendance. The program content of the workshop covers the use of the Advanced Office Suite including Microsoft Word presenting concepts of professional formatting, creation of automatic tables of contents, headers and footers, insertion of images, tables, references, and mail merge.

Additionally, Microsoft Excel will be covered with formulas and functions (SUM, AVERAGE, IF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF), conditional formatting, creation of charts and dashboards, and Microsoft PowerPoint introducing presentations with professional layout, media insertion, animations, and time control.
Furthermore, it will present graphic design concepts with Canva such as: the fundamentals of Canva and visual identity, the creation of materials like posters, resumes, social media posts, presentations, and visual portfolios. The workshop will also cover Introduction to Web Development as the basic structure of HTML pages (use of tags, titles, paragraphs, lists, links, images, and tables), application of basic styles with inline CSS, and organization of directories and development of a personal page as a final project.
"At the end of the workshop, it is expected that students will be able to produce documents and presentations with professional quality, create automated spreadsheets and interactive dashboards; develop visual materials with basic graphic design principles; create simple web pages using HTML and CSS and apply this knowledge in academic, professional, and personal contexts," reveals instructor Fábio Luan.
