Peace Factories strengthen family bonds through learning and coexistence
Sports, culture, leisure, and training activities offered for free at UsiPaz transform lives and reinforce ties between parents and children
The Peace Factories collect stories of affection and social transformation. Created by the Government of Pará with the aim of promoting citizenship, culture, sports, and professional qualification, the citizenship complexes are meeting points and connections between families. Parents and children, in the environment of the Factories, find opportunities to learn and grow together.

Residents of the municipality of Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, Plínio and Yasmin Amaro, father and daughter, found an open door for shared learning and social transformation at UsiPaz. “Here at the Factory, we do various activities. My daughter has participated in several courses and events, and I always come to accompany her. It is a place that truly offers us opportunities. For my family, it represents care, as we see that here people care and we have welcome and respect. Today, I feel fulfilled to be able to offer these opportunities to my daughter. These are knowledge that will make a difference in her future,” said Plínio.

Achievement - In the municipality of Tucuruí, in southeastern Pará, resident Luiz Assunção also celebrates the opportunities generated for his family by the Peace Factory. Father of Davi Henrique and Yorrana, he stated that the arrival of the complex was a great achievement for the city. “My children are already part of several activities here at the Factory. Davi plays futsal and volleyball, and Yorrana participates in activities at the library. The Factory is a very significant achievement for our city, and I thank the State Government for bringing this project to Tucuruí,” he added.
At the Peace Factory Pe. Bruno Sechi, in the Bengui neighborhood of Belém, parents also found opportunities that directly impact their children's growth, said resident Diego Lopes. “I always accompany my son in futsal activities. The Factory has been a great benefit because here my son can learn sports and various things. Before, we didn't have an area like this here in the neighborhood. I feel very happy that today we can have these learning opportunities, which are very good for my son and the other young people,” he informed.

Present and future - Integrated into the Territories for Peace Program (TerPaz), the Factories are already present in several municipalities and neighborhoods in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, offering, in addition to sports, cultural workshops, health services, citizenship actions, and other free services.
“The Peace Factories were designed and created to open doors and generate real opportunities for Pará families. Seeing parents and children studying, practicing sports, and developing together is proof that we are on the right track, investing in the present and future of our people,” assured the State Secretary for Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
