Military Police recovers stolen electric scooter and arrests suspect in the Terra Firme neighborhood
The equipment is provided by the City Hall of Belém for public use. Six portions of white powder were also found with the suspect.
Police officers from the 28th Military Police Battalion (28th BPM) recovered an electric scooter, provided by the City Hall of Belém for public use, that had been stolen and was being illegally transported in the Terra Firme neighborhood of Belém. During a patrol, the Águia 36 unit, under the command of Corporal Lages, approached a man who was pushing the scooter in a wheelbarrow. When questioned about the origin of the vehicle, he claimed he intended to sell it as scrap.

Upon conducting a personal search, the police found a small package containing six portions of white powder, possibly cocaine. The suspect and the seized material were taken to the São Brás Police Station, where legal procedures were carried out.
The commander of the 28th BPM, Major Denison Cavalcante de Souza, emphasized the importance of recovering the electric scooter. "It is a resource provided by the City Hall to facilitate urban mobility for the population. Recovering it means returning a public asset to society and, at the same time, preventing criminal activity. We remain committed to ensuring safety and order in our region," said the officer.
