General Hospital of Tailândia Reinforces the Importance of Men's Health in Celebration of Father's Day
Users, unit staff, and the community received guidance, scheduled exams, and won symbolic gifts
The General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT), through the Humanization Working Group (GTH), promoted a series of activities this week in honor of Father's Day, celebrated on Sunday (10). The actions took place at the hospital unit and in external spaces, including health guidance and service offerings for users, staff, and the community.

In the internal area of HGT, fathers who were receiving care or hospitalized, their companions, and professionals working at the hospital unit received health guidance, scheduled exams, and symbolic gifts, accompanied by personalized cards about the date. The delivery was made to the sound of guitar and voice, in a moment of interaction with the participants.
According to the coordinator of GTH, Luciene Dias, the action aimed to recognize and value fathers, whether users or staff, while reinforcing the importance of caring for men's health through guidance and preventive services.
“Our action aimed primarily to strengthen the connection between the health team and the community, offering a space for dialogue, information, and encouragement of practices that favor well-being and quality of life. At the same time, we sought to welcome those who, due to being hospitalized, will spend Father's Day away from their children,” added the coordinator.
External Public - The team promoted an action in the parking lot of a supermarket, offering preventive exams for men and measuring vital signs of customers and the general public. The initiative aimed to reach the external public and expand access to the services provided by HGT.

Lucivaldo Chaves, 32 years old, took the opportunity to schedule exams and emphasized the relevance of the activity. “It was very good for HGT to be here at the market. I measured my blood pressure, did a blood glucose test, and scheduled important exams for myself and also for my wife. Sometimes, in the rush of everyday life, we can't go to the hospital, and this presence here makes it much easier. The service was great, everyone was very polite, and I hope this action happens more often,” said the participant.
120 people participated in the external action, resulting in the scheduling of 50 exams, including blood counts, ultrasounds, and various blood tests. The Father's Day activities at HGT will continue until Sunday, when the Nutrition and Dietetics Service (SND) team will deliver personalized meals with phrases related to the date, in addition to preparing a special menu for users and staff.
