Press accreditation is open for the National Governors' Forum that will discuss COP30 in Belém

The National Governors' Forum will be held on August 13 in Belém, bringing together governors from the 26 states and the Federal District to discuss preparations for the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), scheduled for November 2025. During the meeting, governors will discuss key topics for COP30, such as decarbonization, climate financing, environmental justice, and energy transition, aligning their proposals with the international agenda and highlighting Brazil's essential role in the fight against climate change. Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, president of the National COP30 Commission, will also participate in the event, offering his experience as Brazil's chief negotiator at international climate conferences.
Credentials will be available for pickup on August 12, from 11 AM to 5 PM, at the headquarters of the Communication Secretariat of the Government of Pará.
About the Forum
The National Governors' Forum is a space to consolidate a unified federative position, where states will present their climate actions and challenges, focusing on building joint solutions that meet the country's needs and the global commitment to preserving the Amazon and sustainable development.
The event will take place at Parque da Cidade, the main venue for COP30. The space will bring together the most strategic areas of the conference: the Blue Zone, designated for official negotiations, and the Green Zone, with activities aimed at civil society, such as cultural exhibitions, discussions on sustainability, and innovation.
