Civil Police launches fourth phase of operation to combat crime in the city of Marituba
The action took place throughout the municipality and culminated in the inspection of commercial establishments, investigative surveys, investigation of complaints, and the arrest of two people in compliance with warrants issued by the Justice

The Civil Police of the State of Pará launched, this Thursday (07), the fourth phase of the operation "Safe Area", which this time took place in the municipality of Marituba, a city located in the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB). The incursions occurred during the early morning and also in the evening.
The operations involved the work of police officers from the Metropolitan Police Directorates (DPM), Specialized Police (DPE), Administrative Police (DPA), Assistance to Vulnerable Groups (DAV), State Anti-Corruption (DECOR), State Cybercrime (DECCC), the Police Intelligence Center (NIP), and the Coordination of Operations and Special Resources (CORE).

“The operation is ongoing and aims to provide more tranquility to the population of the municipality, showing the presence of the police that unites efforts to combat crimes, investigate complaints related to the practice of criminal offenses, as well as develop preventive measures, focusing on qualified repression of crime and ensuring public order,” explained Delegate Temmer Khayat, Deputy General Delegate of PCPA and coordinator of the operation.
Teams from the DPA conducted inspections at more than ten locations aimed at the regularity of establishments, with an emphasis on verifying operating permits and other legal requirements for conducting commercial activities.

“Bars, restaurants, shops, and other establishments in the municipality were inspected. Among them, five establishments had their activities closed, as they were operating irregularly, without registration with the DPA and permits. When this occurs, the owner is notified to appear at the DPA headquarters to regularize the situation,” said Delegate Virgínia Grimwood.
The DAV conducted incursions and approaches with the aim of identifying and curbing possible situations of rights violations, especially against women, children, adolescents, the elderly, and people in situations of social vulnerability. The teams also posted flyers promoting the Virtual DEAM in the establishments.

The teams from DPM, DPE, DECOR, DECCC, NIP, and CORE conducted ostensive actions and qualified repression, including verification of open warrants, tactical approaches, and interventions in points considered critical in the neighborhood, mapped from police intelligence data.
During the operation, two people were arrested in compliance with warrants issued by the Criminal Court of Marituba, both related to aggravated robbery crimes. “One of them was captured in Marituba by civil police officers from the Interstate Police Service (Polinter), linked to the Division of Investigations and Special Operations (DIOE).

The other arrest occurred in Florianópolis (SC), where the suspect was located with the support of the Civil Police of Santa Catarina and as a result of investigations conducted by the Marituba Section, and the preventive arrest warrant was issued based on the findings that indicated the suspect's involvement in crimes in the municipalities of Benevides and Marituba,” highlighted the PCPA manager, Raimundo Benassuly.

The operation will continue in other neighborhoods of the capital and in other municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Belém so that the population feels safer with the presence of the police on the streets more effectively. Any complaints about irregular commercial points, drug trafficking, or information about fugitives from Justice can be made through the number 181, via the Disque-Denúncia.
