With 96.8% approval, Polyclinic Carajás is a reference in over 30 specialties
Quality, welcoming, and humanization are the most praised points by users served at the unit
The Polyclinic Carajás Miguel Chamon, in Marabá, achieved a patient approval rating of 96.8% last July, according to a survey by the User Service Ombudsman (SAU). Among the aspects most highly rated by users are the technical quality of services, physical structure, welcoming atmosphere, and humanization in care.
User satisfaction is reflected in their testimonials. Maria Raimunda Ventura, 65, a resident of Marabá in the Carajás region, was treated in the orthopedics specialty and approved of the service provided. "I was well attended from reception to medical care. Everyone was polite and attentive. You feel welcomed," she reported.
The unit, part of the Government of Pará, managed by the Social and Environmental Institute of the Amazon (ISSAA), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), is a reference in over 30 medical specialties and medium to high complexity exams. The institution offers a humanized and welcoming care at all stages of service.
Another patient, Francisco dos Anjos, 63, a resident of São Domingos do Araguaia, also in the Carajás region, reinforced the good impression left by the unit. "I received quick and efficient service. The doctor was attentive, explained everything clearly, and the entire team showed great respect. I leave satisfied and grateful," he highlighted.
Survey
The User Service Ombudsman (SAU) conducts daily surveys at the Polyclinic to evaluate the quality of services provided, waiting time, welcoming, clarity of information, physical structure, cleanliness conditions, technical competence, cordiality in service, patient safety, and respect for human dignity.
Leia Jansen, a professional working in the institution's Ombudsman, explained that the survey is conducted daily through interviews with patients. "This contact with users allows us to identify opportunities for improvement, correct paths, and reinforce what we are doing right. We aim to evolve and ensure increasingly qualified care," she pointed out.
In addition to satisfaction surveys, the Polyclinic also has a user service room, an exclusive space prepared to receive in-person feedback from patients and companions. In this environment, it is possible to register compliments, suggestions, requests for information, and any complaints, maintaining an open and humanized communication channel.
Jahellen Nascimento, who also works in the unit's Ombudsman, emphasizes that listening to the patient is part of the routine and commitment of the Polyclinic to excellence. "We are always open to welcoming suggestions and criticisms. This is part of our work and strengthens the trust relationship with the population," she stated.
Continuous improvement
The analysis of the collected information is carried out by the Ombudsman team, which uses the data to propose continuous improvements in the unit's processes and services. According to the executive director of the Polyclinic, Joabe Lopes, the result reinforces the institution's commitment to quality and humanization in health care.
"Our work is done with responsibility, dedication, and respect for people. The satisfaction survey allows us to listen to those who matter most: our patients. This feedback is essential to maintain a standard of excellence and continue evolving," Joabe concluded.
The director also highlights the importance of user participation in this process. "The opinion of patients is fundamental for us to continually improve our performance. This positive result reinforces that we are heading in the right direction, focusing on technical quality and humanization at all stages of care," he emphasized.

Then, the patient must present the referral document and their personal data to the Municipal Health Department, which will register and schedule in the State Regulation System.
