Usina da Paz Benevides certifies 70 students in professional training courses
Training in the areas of customer service, hospitality, and administration marks the first classes of the complex delivered by the Government of Pará in May

The Government of the State of Pará, through the ParáPaz Foundation, certified, on the night of last Tuesday (5), the first classes of professional training courses offered at Usina da Paz Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. A total of 70 students completed the courses in Public Service and Hospitality, as well as Professional Training and Citizenship – Administrative Assistant. The ceremony was held in the gymnasium of the unit, bringing together graduates and their families in a moment of celebration and appreciation of professional education.
The delivery of the certifications represents another concrete action of the inclusion and social development policy promoted by the Government of Pará through the Usinas da Paz, multifunctional complexes that offer free services in the areas of citizenship, training, and culture. The Benevides unit, delivered in May of this year, already stands out as a hub for generating opportunities for the local population.
Opportunities that transform lives

Lucas Corrêa, a graduate of the administrative assistant course, celebrated the achievement and highlighted the positive impacts of the qualification on his journey. “This was my first completed course and I am grateful because it will help me have job opportunities. I intend to continue taking courses and taking advantage of the free opportunities that Usina offers us,” he stated.
For Laila Silva, who participated in the reception and hospitality training, the experience represents a new beginning. “Today I am receiving my certificate in reception and hospitality. I thank Usina da Paz, which offers us free courses and knowledge that can propel us in the job market,” she highlighted.

Commitment to inclusion and development
The State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, emphasized the social impact of the initiative and the importance of qualification to expand opportunities for the population.
“Professional qualification transforms realities. Each certificate delivered represents more than a document; it is the opening of paths for a more dignified life, with more knowledge and opportunities. The Usina da Paz in Benevides is open to welcome the community, and we wish to increasingly reach and generate opportunities for those who need it most,” she declared.
The general coordinator of the ParáPaz Foundation at Usinas da Paz, Rita Melo, highlighted that "The Usina is a space for transformation, where young people and adolescents have the chance to build their life projects, develop a vision for the future, and strengthen their sense of belonging to their territory. They are training within their own community, in their space, which makes the process even more powerful and accessible. This public policy, which the State of Pará has promoted through Usinas da Paz in different regions, has generated concrete opportunities for inclusion and development. When these young people enter the job market, not only are their trajectories transformed, but their families are also strengthened, with more dignity and quality of life."
