Codec guides the expansion of CBAA Asfaltos for the establishment of an operational base in Itaituba
Company articulates logistics project with support from the Government of Pará to meet infrastructure demand in the western part of the state

The Economic Development Company of Pará (Codec) received, this Tuesday (5), representatives from CBAA Asfaltos, who presented a proposal for the establishment of an operational support base in the municipality of Itaituba, in western Pará. The project aims to meet the growing demand for logistical and infrastructure solutions in the region.
The company, which already has a unit installed in the Industrial District of Ananindeua, is now looking to expand its presence in the state, focusing on the storage of asphalt and fuel, aimed at supplying paving works in strategic areas of Pará.
Institutional support - During the meeting, CBAA directors Luiz Soares Santos (Commercial) and Luiz Gustavo Dias dos Santos (Executive) requested Codec's support for identifying and enabling an appropriate area for the enterprise. In response, the Company provided guidance on the legal and administrative procedures necessary to initiate the consultation process, highlighting the importance of formalizing the request with a delineation of the area of interest and presentation of the project.

“Codec has been acting based on technical and strategic criteria to foster economic growth throughout the State. The interiorization of investments is a guideline of the Government of Pará, and projects like this reinforce the importance of our role in this process,” said Codec's president, Lutfala Bitar.
The director of Strategies and Institutional Relations at Codec, Pádua Rodrigues, highlighted the Company's role in supporting private initiatives that contribute to regional development.
“Our goal is to provide the necessary support so that investors find in Pará a favorable environment for the establishment of their productive units, in a decentralized and sustainable manner,” Rodrigues stated.
Strategy for regional development
In addition to contributing to regional logistics, CBAA Asfaltos' proposal is aligned with the guidelines of the Government of Pará for the strategic use of territory and encouragement of investment interiorization. Upon formalizing the demand, Codec will act institutionally with the competent bodies to facilitate the progress of the process.
Participating in the meeting were directors Ruy Klautau (Technical Directorate) and Manoel Ibiapina (Directorate of Investment Attraction and Business). The Company will continue to monitor the developments of the project, in line with public policies for sustainable development in the state.
