The Civil Police of Pará, through the Delegacy for the Protection of Fans and Major Events (DPTGE), linked to the Division of Investigations and Special Operations (Dioe), launched the operation 'Blocked Ticket' on the morning of this Tuesday (5), aimed at dismantling a scheme for forgery and sale of tickets for football matches in Belém. During the police action, a search and seizure warrant and a preventive arrest warrant were executed against a suspect for fraud, who was located in the Tapanã neighborhood in Belém.

"Our investigations indicate that the target repeatedly engaged in the fabrication and distribution of counterfeit tickets, which were purchased by unsuspecting victims who only discovered the fraud when they were prevented from accessing the venues due to possessing tickets that did not exist in the official control system," explained delegate Marcos André Araújo, head of the DPTGE.

In total, more than 20 simultaneous cases of counterfeit ticket sales have been recorded. "The preventive arrest of the suspect is an absolutely necessary measure for the effective protection of public order, especially given the current scenario in the capital of Pará, which is preparing to host major events in 2025," continued the delegate.

The individual has a history of criminal practices associated with his involvement in sporting events, as there are three procedures against him in the specialized unit for ticket scalping, disobedience to a court order, and for fraud and forgery of public and private documents.

During the execution of the warrants, several badges and wristbands for free access to cultural and sporting events were found, as well as a mobile phone. All material was seized and presented at the specialized police station.

"In one of the procedures initiated by this specialized unit against the suspect, his mobile phone was examined, and we identified that, in addition to the information confirming the forgery of the tickets, he also forged a driver's license and used it to board a commercial flight from Macapá to Belém, a fact that indicates the subject's behavior in enhancing his criminal activity," concluded the delegate.

The individual will be charged with forgery of documents, fraud, and use of false documents. The arrest represents the commitment of the Civil Police of Pará to public order and the safety of citizens at major sporting or entertainment events, aiming to combat any practice that compromises the safety of the population.
