Civil Police of Pará seizes 41 drug tablets in Castanhal
A pair of siblings was arrested in the act after police found the drugs hidden in a cooler inside the residence

The Civil Police of Pará arrested two people in the act for drug trafficking and association for trafficking on the afternoon of this Monday (4), in the municipality of Castanhal, in the northeastern state. They seized 41 tablets of oxi, as well as other portions of the substance, two precision scales, and various tools used for the fractioning and storage of drugs.
“The arrests were made by the teams from the Jaderlândia Police Station and the Urban Section of Castanhal and are the result of investigations aimed at combating drug trafficking in the city of Castanhal, which pointed to the subjects' address as a location for storing and distributing the drug,” explained delegate Thiago Dias, head of the Regional Superintendence of Salgado.

Understand the case - During the investigation, a woman was seen storing drugs in a property located on Treze de Maio Avenue, in the Santa Lídia neighborhood. Inside the house, the brother of the suspect was found with two coolers, where the tablets of the illicit substance were stored, as well as other fragments and utensils with traces of drugs.
“The siblings were immediately given a voice of arrest in the act for the crimes of trafficking and association for drug trafficking and were taken to the police unit, where they remain at the disposal of Justice,” concluded the delegate.

The Civil Police of Pará continues the investigations in order to ascertain the participation of other individuals involved in the criminal practice and emphasizes the importance of reporting any crimes.
