On Monday (4), the computer course began at the Women's Socioeducational Center (Cesef), of the Pará State Socioeducational Service Foundation (Fasepa), in Ananindeua. The initiative, carried out in partnership with the Federal Institute of Pará (IFPA), is aimed at young people serving socioeducational measures, with the goal of promoting professional qualification and digital inclusion.

The training seeks to expand the possibilities of social reintegration and professional qualification for young people serving socioeducational measures. In addition to meeting the guidelines of socioeducational legislation, which guarantees the right to education and professionalization for adolescents in deprivation of liberty.

The general director of the IFPA campus in Ananindeua, Lair Menezes, highlighted the following: “this is an inclusion work, in which we leave the institutional walls of IFPA to offer this course, promoting an immediate return to society and showing that it is possible to create real opportunities for life transformation. I believe we can contribute with the knowledge and development of each socioeducational student. This course aims to provide autonomy, awaken individual entrepreneurship, and expand opportunities for social reintegration. Through computer science, it is possible to learn continuously and transform this tool into a source of livelihood,” he emphasized.

The course aims to prepare young people for the job market, providing skills in basic areas such as operating systems, word processing, typing, spreadsheets, and others.

One of the young participants, 17 years old, who has already completed other vocational courses during deprivation of liberty, highlighted the importance of the opportunity. “This is a very happy day for us, as we are starting another course. Here we are having opportunities that we cannot easily find outside. The expectation for this computer course is high because it will help us in any area we choose to work. We thank you and commit to helping you help us,” she said.

Fasepa continues to invest in educational and professionalizing actions as a strategy for transforming lives, focusing on building new paths for adolescents serving socioeducational measures.
