Units of the Department of Transit of the State of Pará (Detran) began on this Monday (4) the enrollment for the new phase of the CNH Pai D’égua Program, implemented by the state government, aimed exclusively at atypical mothers. This special edition of the Program aims to ensure more dignity, mobility, and autonomy for women who face daily challenges in caring for children with disabilities.

The action covers beneficiaries from the following municipalities: Belém, Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Santa Bárbara do Pará, Santa Izabel do Pará, Castanhal, and Barcarena, as well as the islands of Mosqueiro, Caratateua, Cotijuba, and Combu, belonging to the capital. In the other municipalities, the hours should follow those indicated in the enrollment passport.

According to the announcement, 4,000 women are expected to be served in this edition, adding to the more than 60,000 people already benefited in previous phases of the "CNH Pai D’égua," which has established itself as a national reference in inclusion and free access to the first driver's license.

Special edition - "Today we are starting the enrollment of atypical mothers. It is a very special edition that will provide opportunities for these mothers who already have such a difficult life that requires more attention. We will have exclusive service for 'CNH Pai D’égua' in the afternoon, starting at 1 PM. In the morning, we have normal service (vehicle and license)," informed Ana Carolina Sampaio, president of the CNH Pai D’égua Program Commission, during the start of the enrollments at the Detran auditorium.

Isabelle Lima wants to be able to take her son to therapies

The self-employed Isabelle Lima, mother of Mikael, diagnosed with level 1 autism, said that "we are on this journey with him. It is not easy, it has never been easy. I have never romanticized atypical motherhood because only those who experience it know how hard and difficult it is. My expectations with the start of the CNH Pai D’égua Program – Atypical Mothers is to get my license since I have my own vehicle, so I can take my son to therapies."

Required documentation - To enroll, it is necessary to present:

• Identity card or equivalent;
• CPF;
• Recent proof of residence (up to 90 days);
• Declaration or certificate of elementary education (issued by the State Department of Education - Seduc, or equivalent from another state);
• Negative Criminal Record Certificate from the Civil Police of Pará (valid for up to 90 days), and
• Medical report of the child(ren), with diagnosis (CID), issued exclusively by a SUS (Unified Health System) professional.

The medical report must necessarily contain:

• Full name of the patient;
• Diagnosis with CID;
• Date of issuance;
• Signature and stamp of the doctor with CRM, and
• Detailing of the functional limitation.

With this new stage, the CNH Pai D’égua Program – Atypical Mothers reinforces the commitment of the Government of Pará, through Detran, to social inclusion and the strengthening of public policies aimed at accessibility. The free license becomes, in this context, a concrete tool for transformation in the lives of many families in Pará.
