The construction project of the new Peace Plant in Icoaraci, in Belém, is progressing and already has over 90% of the services completed. The new unit is expected to be delivered in 2025 and will serve as a reference for free services and assistance aimed at the well-being, citizenship, and social inclusion of the residents of the district and region.

Located in the Cruzeiro neighborhood, the UsiPaz Icoaraci will be the 6th unit delivered by the State Government in the capital of Pará. The public facility will feature a modern and functional structure, offering more than 70 free services to the community in areas such as health, education, professional qualification, citizenship, sports, culture, and leisure.

The complex will have two main buildings, Plant and Assistance, with structured rooms for services such as document issuance and health care, libraries, study rooms, computer rooms, a gastronomy room, rooms for professional qualification courses, as well as spaces like a theater, multicultural square for events, workshop, swimming pool, sports complex, sand court, outdoor gym, and children's playground.

Advanced works - Currently, the construction project of the Plant has a workforce of 104 employees working on different fronts, such as finishing paintings, sidewalks, and landscaping, in addition to the installation of furniture.

The State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, highlights the social impact of the initiative: “The Peace Plant is yet another commitment from the Government of Pará to transform the reality of families in our beloved Icoaraci. We remain steadfast in finalizing and delivering this space that will serve the entire community with dignity, inclusion, and generating new future opportunities.”

Expectation - As the construction of the Peace Plant progresses towards completion, the residents of Icoaraci are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new unit of the largest citizenship complex in Latin America in the traditional “Vila Sorriso.”

Icoaraci resident Sheila Pantoja acknowledges that the complex will ensure social services and activities for the community

Sheila Pantoja, who has lived in the Cruzeiro neighborhood for 40 years, states that the community is eager to benefit from the structure and the more than 70 services that will be available at the state public facility.

“Having a project like this here is a dream. It will improve a lot, not only for us adults but for the children and everyone who will benefit. The Plant will greatly facilitate our access to health services. We are excited here in the community. The Government deserves congratulations,” said Sheila.

Retiree Maria Souza is also looking forward to the arrival of the new Plant and the improvements that will be generated for the population. “The work is looking very beautiful, a wonder. There was nothing here before, now, with faith in God, everything will improve, right? For our children to study and learn. A project that will improve things for all of us. That’s what we want,” she declared.
