Integrated actions continue in Salinópolis at the end of Operation Summer 2025
The preventive and ostensive work will conclude on Monday (4), mobilizing about 300 military personnel in the municipality, including the reinforcement of the workforce
The preventive and ostensive actions launched by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in conjunction with other agencies in the area, continue on the first weekend of August in Salinópolis, northeastern Pará. Operation Summer 2025 continues in more than 50 locations until next Monday (4).
As the main destination for summer in Pará, Salinópolis recorded a movement considered below average this Friday (1st), compared to the last two weekends of July. Nevertheless, the security agencies continue to work to monitor those who remain in the city seeking leisure.

As has been happening throughout Operation Summer, in the morning the focal points of each force gathered for an operational briefing. Coordinated by Segup, Colonel Helderley de Oliveira explained that the apparatus mobilized by the security system is maintained.
“Our operations continue strong, with all agencies present, whether in the morning, in the afternoon, or at night. They are being carried out in an integrated manner to curb those usual situations that we have already observed, which is the disturbance of peace, high sound volume from vehicles, even in some specific residential areas. The issue of disturbance of peace is one of the occurrences that are most demanded. The Security System has been effectively combating this occurrence,” said the colonel.

Policing - With about 300 military personnel, including reinforcements and regular forces, the Military Police continues at strategic points in the municipality, carrying out ostensive policing. “During this month we made seizures of weapons, arrests of fugitives, and other actions that resulted in arrests. We are maintaining the same pace. With our personnel, we are providing good visibility in policing, certainly deterring the actions of various individuals intending to rob. The results have been very positive,” highlighted Lieutenant Colonel Alberto Souza, commander of the 44th BPM, the Battalion that operates in the municipalities of Salinópolis, São João de Pirabas, and Santarém Novo.
Through the Civil Police, activities are focused on the administrative side, enforcing the Dry Law with traffic agencies. According to the director of the Interior Police, Delegate Henisson Jacob, the actions have been well received by the population throughout July.
“Positive evaluation not only in Salinópolis but throughout the State, the forces work in an integrated manner, each in its function, and we did not have any serious occurrences, neither in the busy resorts nor in those with less movement,” he added.

Monitoring - Present in Salinópolis, the State Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration (Seap) has teams from the Integrated Electronic Monitoring Center (Cime) and the Search and Recapture Group. Cime is responsible for the electronic monitoring of individuals deprived of liberty, using electronic ankle bracelets, while the GBR is a specialized unit within Seap, focused on executing arrest warrants and monitoring electronically monitored prisoners.
During this operational period, there were six warrants executed in Salinópolis, with two being fulfilled. There were 20 inspections carried out and 28 joint actions with other agencies. According to penal officer Diogo Alves from Cime, together with GBR, they are monitoring the individuals in the region - 10 active - with some situations of area violations.
“Inspections were carried out, and today we will continue to monitor these individuals, within this region, not only at the beach but also in the city of Salinópolis. Some cases are for guidance, to ensure they are within their homes at the right times, checking also if they are outside the jurisdiction without the judge's authorization, and verifying the electronic device to ensure it is not tampered with. If it is, we are here to replace it and perform maintenance,” he concluded.
