Seduc launches incident system to enhance the fight against violence in schools
The strategy is part of the Safe School Program, from Seduc and Segup, and ensures the confrontation and prevention of violence in the school environment

To ensure an even safer and more suitable school environment for managers, teachers, students, and other members of the school community, the State Department of Education of Pará (Seduc), through the Educational Coexistence Advisory (ACE) and the Public Safety and School Protection Center (Nuspe), launched, this Thursday (31), the School Incident System (SOE), created for the registration of incidents - whether crimes or infractions - within the teaching units of the state network.
At this first moment, the system, developed within the Safe School program, is available for testing access for the 18 Regional Education Directorates (DREs) of the capital of Pará and the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB). The testing phase will continue until August 10, and the managers of the school units must register in the School Incident System (SOE).
“Today we are launching the SOE, which is a system created for the registration of school incidents, when it comes to crime or infraction (remembering that crime is for adults and infraction for people under 18 years old). This is important for us to know the first cases, records of disciplinary cases based on the internal regulations of the public state school units of the State of Pará. We ask that all schools in the 18 DREs access the system and conduct a test so that any doubts can be clarified,” said the coordinator of ACE, Mário Augusto Almeida.
The coordinator of the Public Safety and School Protection Center (Nuspe) of Seduc, Colonel Bezerra, explained that the SOE is available for registration. “The School Incident System is available in the profiles of school directors and vice-directors who must register on the site only after all measures have been taken with the police authorities. At the time of registration, all documents generated involving the incident must be attached to the system, such as the Incident Report, reports, photographs, and, it should be noted, everything must be done confidentially. In the case of crime and infraction, the incident report must be mandatorily attached to the SOE,” he said.
According to the colonel, it is important to emphasize that the SOE is essential for outlining strategies to combat and prevent violence in the school environment. “We would like to make it clear that this system will serve as a guide for planning actions to confront school violence under the Safe School Program. We also emphasize that, in addition to the system registration, the PM advisor of your DRE must be immediately informed about this type of incident and he will also serve as a guide for filling out the SOE in case of doubts,” he explained.
Seduc has already made a tutorial available to assist managers during the registration in the system, and the video will be available for consultation in case of doubts. In addition, it is possible to open a ticket to clarify doubts with the system developer or speak directly with ACE and Nuspe through the emails: [email protected] and convivê[email protected].
Safe School - Launched in 2023, the Safe School Program, coordinated by Seduc and Segup, is one of the initiatives developed to ensure safety in the school environment. Through the Program, Seduc establishes the School Safety and Protection Center (Nuspe) with Military Police officers and public safety advisors in the central agency, for monitoring and planning actions based on incidents, as well as defining action protocols in routine and crisis situations.
Today, Seduc has psychologists and social workers who work in the headquarters DREs and in the schools of the state public network in a multidisciplinary team.
