Course on artistic exhibition setup receives registrations until Tuesday (29)

The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) is open for registrations for the course "Architecture of the Gaze: Poetics of the Exhibition Space." Classes will take place on August 1st and 2nd, from 2 PM to 6 PM, at the Casa das Artes, in Belém. Registration is free and can be done until 12 PM on Tuesday (29), through an electronic form.

The course has a workload of 8 hours, aimed at artists, curators, producers, art students, and related fields, from 18 years old. Ten spots are offered. The classes will be taught by Marcelo Lobato, an art educator, plastic artist, restorer, and exhibition installer.
According to him, the course "Architecture of the Gaze: Poetics of the Exhibition Space" is an opportunity for participants seeking to enhance the theory and practice of exhibition setups, building narratives and relationships through works of art. "Participants will have the opportunity to understand how to conceptualize, plan, and execute exhibition setups," says Marcelo Lobato.

Content - The course will cover Introduction to Exhibition Design: history, concepts, and languages; Journey from concept to project with exhibition plan; Technical issues and Setup Laboratory, aiming to explore theoretical and practical knowledge of exhibition design in art galleries.
With the setups and the works, one of the purposes of constructions in exhibition spaces is to create communication between the observer and the exhibited pieces.
