City Park Welcomes Children of Workers in Gesture of Appreciation for Teams
The initiative marked the recognition of the professionals who work at the Park, a space that has already accumulated over 360 hours of operation and 460,000 visitors
“I am already feeling immense nostalgia for this place, for the human warmth that we feel here every day,” said Paula Oliveira, a professional from the Administrative Sector of the City Park in Belém, who on this Monday (28) brought her son and nephew to the space where she works. Paula was one of the workers who participated in the action aimed at the professionals who work daily in the maintenance, cleaning, operation, and management of the City Park. The activity took place in the morning, alongside the weekly maintenance of the space, carried out on Mondays, to ensure full operation for the public starting at 6 PM.

The gesture was conceived as recognition for the teams that ensure the operation of the Park since its opening on June 27, for the Public Vacation Colony promoted by the Government of Pará. Since then, the City Park has already accumulated over 360 hours of operation, welcoming more than 460,000 people.
Appreciation - “This gesture represents our recognition for the tireless work during this period. It is only fair that these professionals, who are daily involved in cleaning, maintenance, and welcoming the public, also have the opportunity to experience a moment of leisure with their children in the space they help care for and make possible. It is a symbolic gesture, but very significant, of appreciation for our teams and public service,” emphasizes the State Secretary of Culture, Ursula Vidal.

For Cláudio Pinheiro, responsible for the Operational Management of the Park, the meeting also reaffirms the commitment to those who make the space function every day. “All our collaborators are dedicated, and we are committed to delivering the best with excellence and commitment. We saw the need, together with Secretary Ursula, to provide this moment of affection and pause alongside family. It is gratifying to see this return happening within the Park itself,” he emphasized.

The City Park will continue to operate until next Thursday, July 31, from 8 AM to 10 PM, when the programming of the Vacation Colony ends. On the next day, August 1, the space will be closed to the public to be handed over to the Federal Government, which will begin setting up the structures for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in Belém in November this year.
During the climate event, the Park will host the so-called Blue Zone and Green Zone, official areas of the conference, which will bring together international delegations, debate forums, cultural activities, and meetings on the future of the planet.
