The integrated action of the multiprofessional team at the General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT), a unit linked to the State Government, has been essential in promoting humanized and quality care for hospitalized patients. The care model adopted in the unit seeks to go beyond the clinical aspect, also considering the emotional, social, and psychological aspects of the users.

Composed of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, pharmacists, among other professionals, the team works collaboratively to ensure individualized therapeutic plans that respect the needs of each patient and favor a more effective recovery.

"The alignment among professionals allows for the development of more effective therapeutic plans, respecting the individualities and needs of each patient. This positively impacts not only recovery but also user satisfaction and the efficiency of the unit as a whole," stated the technical director of HGT, Dr. Eduardo Rocha.

Welcoming and patient satisfaction

Resident of the Aeroporto neighborhood in Tailândia, patient Moisés de Sousa, 53, has been hospitalized for about seven days in the medical clinic of HGT. He highlights the care received from the multiprofessional team.

"Thank God, everything is calm. Everyone is great professionals. Since I arrived here, I have been well received. I always notice the presence of doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, everyone works together, and this helps us a lot. Everyone explains everything properly when they come here to the bed, and I can only be grateful," reported the patient.

Humanization and continuous training

In addition to direct assistance, professionals also promote qualified listening and emotional support to patients and their families. The team participates in meetings to discuss cases, develops humanization projects, conducts training and capacity building, and contributes to research aimed at improving the quality of care.

In the first six months of 2025, HGT performed approximately 2,060 hospitalizations, distributed among medical, surgical, obstetric, pediatric clinics, and the Intermediate Care Unit (ICU).
