The population of Curralinho, in the Marajó Archipelago, starting this Tuesday (22), will have a fully restructured municipal hospital adapted to provide medium complexity care. The work was carried out through an agreement between the State Department of Public Health (Sespa) and the City Hall of the municipality, with an investment of over R$ 2 million. In addition to expanding public health assistance, the project generated 50 jobs, including 20 direct and 30 indirect.

The new structure of the hospital has 41 beds, distributed among internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, surgery, observation and stabilization beds, as well as a dental office. The unit offers emergency and urgent care, hospitalizations, deliveries, elective surgeries, and laboratory and imaging exams, such as ultrasound, digital X-ray, endoscopy, and electrocardiogram. There are also follow-up services with a nutritionist, physiotherapist, and social worker, along with a complete team of nursing staff, doctors, biomedical professionals, and other health professionals.
