Civil Police reinforces presence in Marudá and ensures safety during the summer
With the significant increase in the flow of visitors, public agents act preventively to provide a peaceful environment for residents, merchants, and tourists

The district of Marudá, in the municipality of Marapanim, is one of the main coastal destinations in northeastern Pará in the month of July. Given this large flow of people and vehicles, Marudá has police reinforcement as part of Operation Summer 2025, coordinated by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup).
The Civil Police has intensified the presence of agents with the aim of ensuring the safety of the local population and visitors. Due to the significant increase in visitors, especially on weekends, the number of incidents also rises.

According to delegate Rodrigo Dantas, the main reports are of crimes considered common, such as thefts, simple robberies, and fights between neighbors, situations that tend to intensify in crowded environments and with excessive alcohol consumption.
Prevention - “We have a reinforced team in Marudá to ensure that the summer period goes smoothly. Although we have seen an increase in the number of incident reports, there are no recurring reports of serious crimes in the region. Our work is precisely preventive, to ensure that residents and visitors enjoy safely. We remain vigilant, with integrated action alongside other security agencies, ready to respond to any demands from the population,” the delegate stated.

The civil police officers working in Marudá are integrated with other fronts of Operation Summer, with actions that involve both direct public service at police stations and fieldwork, with operations in response to incidents, inspections on the beaches, patrols in commercial areas, and monitoring of events.
In addition to operational actions, the teams' work has a preventive and educational character, providing guidance to the population on how to act in risky situations, report incidents, and use reporting channels safely and efficiently.
Operation Summer 2025 began on June 28 and continues until August, mobilizing around 300 civil police officers in more than 50 locations in Pará. In Marudá, police reinforcement is essential to maintain control of incidents and provide a safe environment for residents, merchants, and tourists.
