State Government delivers paving of PA-477 and strengthens regional integration
Work executed by the Department of Infrastructure and Logistics (Seinfra) covers more than 40 kilometers in length and will be delivered next Friday (18)

The Government of Pará will deliver, this Friday (18), more than 20 kilometers of paving of PA-477, an important route connecting the municipalities of Piçarra, Xinguara, and São Geraldo do Araguaia, in the Carajás Integration Region. The work, executed by the State Department of Infrastructure and Logistics (Seinfra), encompasses more than 40 kilometers in length and directly benefits over 13,000 residents of the region.
“This delivery represents a milestone for the region. We are promoting a better quality of life, with infrastructure that improves urban mobility and directly contributes to the local economy. With better transportation conditions, companies can transport their products more efficiently, as well as small producers, who will now have more ease in marketing their family farming production, generating development for the entire region,” highlighted the Secretary of Infrastructure and Logistics, Adler Silveira.

Seinfra emphasizes that the paving of PA-477 represents a significant advancement for Araguaia, ensuring more safety in traffic, comfort for highway users, and easier access to essential services. Furthermore, the road plays a strategic role in the transportation of agricultural and livestock production, which is the predominant activity in the region.
“With the new paved road, travel time will decrease and the risk of accidents will also be reduced. It will be a relief for those who depend on this route daily,” stated truck driver José Almeida, who frequently uses the road.

In 2023, the State had already completed the paving of a 13-kilometer stretch between the headquarters of the municipality of Piçarra and the village of Armazém Castro. Now, with the new phase advancing towards BR-153, the population will have more than 40 kilometers of paved road, which strengthens integration between municipalities and boosts development in the rural area of São Geraldo do Araguaia.
With this delivery, the Government of Pará reaffirms its commitment to road infrastructure and the strengthening of regional integration, promoting economic growth, social inclusion, and better living conditions for the people of Pará.
