HRPC strengthens health network with partnership with the City Hall of Capanema
Joint action promotes dialogue with primary care professionals and combats absenteeism in specialized consultations
Reference in medium and high complexity in northeastern Pará, the Regional Public Hospital of Caetés (HRPC), located in Capanema, has partnered with the Municipal City Hall to expand the population's access to specialized consultations and exams. On June 14, a meeting was held with nurses and doctors from the municipality's basic network, aiming to align strategies and combat absenteeism in scheduling appointments.
The meeting took place in the reception of Natea Caetés and had as its theme the campaign "Zero Absenteeism – The appointment you miss is a loss for someone." The initiative promoted dialogue among professionals and strengthened the integration between primary care and the specialized services offered by the hospital.
Professional engagement for better assistance
For the coordinator of the HRPC Outpatient Clinic, Diego Ribeiro, strengthening this communication is essential to improve the population's adherence to consultations and exams. "Absenteeism directly impacts user assistance, generating waste of resources and increasing waiting lines. Bringing professionals together is strategic because many do not know that the CHC has 36 medical specialties and 26 types of exams. Therefore, we are providing material with a QR Code for health posts, aiming to raise awareness and better guide the community," he explained.
The director of Medium and High Complexity of Capanema, Daniele Corrêa, also highlighted the relevance of the partnership. "It was a super necessary alignment meeting, so that our population is well attended, that we can reduce the lines for exams and provide opportunities for those who really need it. Absenteeism needs to be combated with this union of efforts between the regional hospital and the municipality," she reinforced.
Population approves initiative
User of the Polyclinic of the Caetés Hospital Complex, Rosângela Marques da Silva, 39, praised the proposal. "I am very happy to know that the hospital is working to control absenteeism because it helps other people not to miss the chance to be attended. There are many people waiting for exams and consultations, and each absence ends up harming those who really need it."
Excellence in service and accessible public service
In the first quarter of 2025, the Caetés Hospital Complex performed nearly 176,000 appointments, with a satisfaction rate of 98.68% among users. The unit is part of the state health network of the Government of Pará and serves exclusively through the Unified Health System (SUS).
The hospital is located on Avenida Barão de Capanema, in the Centro neighborhood, in Capanema. More information can be obtained by phone at (91) 3122-7391.
