“Operation Summer 2025” with integrated security forces continues in the Mosqueiro District, in Belém. At the Mobile Integrated Command and Control Center (CICCM), an operational meeting brought together representatives from all security agencies with the main objective of aligning the actions developed to ensure the safety and well-being of vacationers during this weekend (July 12 and 13), focusing on the beaches and resorts in the region.

Among the main resolutions, the intensification of visible policing, traffic organization, increased inspection of cutting lines with cerol and chilenas, dissemination of information about missing children on the beach, and distribution of informative materials on how to identify and report cases of sexual harassment stand out.

The actions coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) aim to provide a safe and pleasant environment for all who chose Mosqueiro to enjoy their holidays, with everyone's collaboration for a summer of peace and joy.

According to Segup, Colonel PM Geraldo Falcão highlighted the development of actions on this Saturday (12) and Sunday (13). “We are committed to ensuring a safe and peaceful summer for all who chose Mosqueiro as their holiday destination. Our priority is prevention, which is why we brought together all security agencies to coordinate our actions in an integrated and efficient manner. We count on everyone's collaboration to build a summer of peace and joy in Mosqueiro,” he said.

Specialized teams

The Civil Police operates with several specialized teams in addition to the reinforcement in the section itself. Among the specialized teams are the Environment (DEMAPA), Vulnerable (DAV), and the Coordination of Operations and Special Resources (CORE). The goal is to serve the public that seeks the police station daily, as well as to meet the extra demands that summer requires.

In coordinating the Summer Operation by the Civil Police, Delegate Dilermando Dantas emphasizes that the institution has been working jointly with other agencies.

“In addition to our actions, we have integrated operations with the Scientific Police, Detran, Municipal Guard, Segbel, which are the traffic agents. Also, with the Military Police and Military Firefighters, all in an integrated manner. We are here to work for society, to make this vacationing society much calmer and to avoid problems while at the beach,” he stated.

Reinforcement in policing

With a reinforcement of 200 military personnel, both ordinary and additional, the Military Police operates in three shifts in the picturesque area. The work begins in the morning with a focus on policing in bathing and resort areas, aimed at preventing criminal practices.

In the afternoon, the emphasis is on supporting traffic for municipal and state agencies. During the night, policing focuses on bars, similar venues, and parties in integrated actions with the Civil Police, Military Firefighters, and other inspection agencies.

This weekend, explains the sub-commander of the 25th Battalion, Major Italo Augusto, the programming of electric trios receives special attention.

“We have some events taking place here on the island. There are trios that provide extra entertainment for our bathers, and this allows us to also be active there, providing targeted security for these events so that bathers do not have headaches with potential criminal situations,” he pointed out.
