Police incinerates 100 cannabis sativa plants and arrests man in Terra Alta
Operation involved civil and military police and occurred after anonymous reports mentioning a marijuana plantation

The Civil Police, through the Terra Alta Police Station, with the support of the Military Police, arrested a man in the act for the crimes of drug trafficking, illegal possession of a firearm, and environmental crime in the municipality.
The action began after the Civil Police were alerted through anonymous reports mentioning a Cannabis sativa plantation, commonly known as marijuana, located in the rural area of Terra Alta.
In light of the information, the Civil and Military Police proceeded to the location and conducted a survey of the area to verify the veracity of the report.

“At the location, the teams confirmed the fact and located a plantation with about 100 plants and 50 marijuana seedlings. The material was incinerated on site, with a sample collected and sent for forensic analysis,” explains delegate Renes Paulo.
During the action, wild animals, such as birds, as well as a firearm and artifacts like gunpowder, pellets, and cartridges were also found. The suspect, responsible for the material and involved in the cultivation of the drug, was arrested and taken, along with the seized items, to the Civil Police Station for the appropriate legal procedures.

Subsequently, the Civil Police identified a second suspect involved in the crime and initiated efforts to locate him. However, the man remains at large.
The investigations continue with the aim of locating and arresting the second individual involved in the criminal act.
