The State Government delivered, this Tuesday (8), the 15th Usina da Paz in Pará, this time in the municipality of Bragança, northeastern Pará. The arrival of the largest citizenship complex in Latin America in the "Pearl of Caeté" was part of the celebrations for the city's 412 years, being a true gift to the Bragança population who, starting today, will have a new reference in services and opportunities.

During the delivery of the new Usina da Paz, Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the satisfaction of being able to deliver another Usina da Paz.

“It is a great joy to be here at such an important moment, the anniversary of the city of Bragança. We are here bringing this extraordinary equipment, which is the Usina da Paz, which arrives to collaborate with the social transformation of the city, bringing various services and a complete equipment of citizenship, social justice, and collaboration, so that we can make this space a welcoming place for all Bragança families and the region,” declared Governor Helder Barbalho.

The Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, stated that the Usina will be a place of transformation for Bragança families. "Here we will have 35 agencies together, working to bring more than 70 services. Here, no one will pay anything to use the Usina da Paz, which is an instrument of transformation and the second home for residents. This Usina belongs to the people, with services for families. I am happy because today the long-awaited Usina da Paz in Bragança is a reality," said the Vice Governor of Pará.

The mayor of Bragança, Mário Júnior, thanked the investments made by the State in the municipality. “I thank the Government for its commitment to our municipality, demonstrated through various important works. It is a great joy to be here and celebrate the delivery of the 15th Usina da Paz, which had to be in Bragança,” said the municipal manager.

Usinas da Paz

The Usinas da Paz are citizenship complexes implemented by the State Government to promote social inclusion, reduce violence, and improve the quality of life of the population in vulnerable areas of the State. The project is part of the Territories for Peace program (TerPaz). Since 2021, with the delivery of the first Usina da Paz, the citizenship complexes have already guaranteed about 10 million services.

In the context of public safety, the Usinas also contribute to significant reductions in the rates of Intentional Violent Lethal Crimes (CVLI) in the areas where they are located, with percentages reaching a 90% decrease, indicating effectiveness in promoting public safety and improving quality of life.

"This is the largest social transformation project in Latin America. A magnificent project that transforms people's lives and improves society in the areas of culture, sports, education, leisure, and in all spheres. The Usina da Paz is a great instrument of transformation made with great care for the population," emphasized the State Secretary for Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
