Operation Summer 2025 continues with inspections, monitoring, and educational actions in Mosqueiro
This weekend, the focus will be on the 130th anniversary of the island

The "Summer 2025" operation continues on the first weekend of July, launched by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in partnership with the agencies of the State Public Security System across all municipalities in Pará. On the Island of Mosqueiro, the work of the security forces is concentrated at the Integrated Mobile Command and Control Center (CICC) and monitors the intense movement of bathers and tourists.
The operation aims primarily to ensure safety and to guarantee that the intense flow does not lead to serious incidents. In the picturesque setting, a morning briefing among the focal points of each force highlighted the actions developed and reinforced this weekend. The Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado, emphasizes the System's effort this summer.

“Our security forces are fully committed to ensuring a safe and peaceful summer for all residents and tourists. This year, we have intensified inspections at strategic points on the island, aiming to curb illegal practices and ensure compliance with the laws. Together, we will protect and serve our community, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauties of Mosqueiro safely and peacefully. We count on the support of the population to report any suspicious activity and collaborate with the authorities,” he stated.

Especially this weekend, the actions will also pay attention to the celebrations of the 130th anniversary of the Mosqueiro District, which will feature shows, cultural presentations, and dance competitions. The free program will take place on Saturday (5), the eve of the island's founding anniversary, at the Matriz square, in the Vila neighborhood, during the first weekend of the school holidays.
Compliance with the laws - Among the various control and inspection actions, local agencies conducted the "Zero Tolerance" Operation in the Vila de Mosqueiro, targeting events, bars, show houses, and commercial establishments. The agents operate at night, from Friday to Sunday, with heightened attention to those who violate coexistence norms, laws, and operating licenses.

The Operation also combats environmental crimes, such as noise pollution and the irregular presence of children and adolescents in night establishments. In Mosqueiro, the team was composed of agents from the Military Police, Civil Police, and support from the Municipal Guard of Belém, starting at 10 PM.
Seven establishments were inspected to verify the necessary documentation for operation and to guide the owners of the establishments regarding the required protocols for operation, especially to prevent criminal actions and maintain public order in the locations.

Guidelines - The teams from the Specialized Division for Environment and Animal Protection (DEMAPA) of the Civil Police of Pará distributed informational material about the prohibition of cutting lines with cerol or Chilean lines.
Personnel – A force of 150 agents reinforces security throughout the month of July in the Mosqueiro district. Among the agencies involved are the Military Police, Civil Police, Fire Department, Traffic Department (Detran), State Scientific Police (PCE), State Penitentiary Administration Secretariat (Seap), Integrated Operations Center (Ciop), as well as the Municipal Guard of Belém and the Urban Mobility Superintendency (Semob) through the Municipal Secretariat of Security, Public Order, and Mobility of Belém (Segbel).
