Waldemar Henrique Theater hosts the scenic experiment "Marionetismo Aurora – The Show", from July 8 to 10
People aged 14 and over can participate, especially theater artists, musicians, visual artists, students, and curious individuals in general. No prior registration is required.

The Experimental Theater Waldemar Henrique, located in Belém, opens its doors for a unique scenic experience: the workshop-performance "Marionetismo Aurora – The Show", led by artist San Rodrigues. With free admission, there will be nine sessions distributed over July 8, 9, and 10, with 3 daily performances at 10 am, 3 pm, and 7 pm.
Unlike a traditional workshop, the event proposes a hybrid format between a show and a creative process. No prior registration is required, and anyone aged 14 and over can participate, especially theater artists, musicians, visual artists, students, and curious individuals in general. Just show up and dive into the poetic and artisanal universe of puppet making.

Throughout the sessions, the audience watches, in silence and up close, the creation of a handmade puppet in real time. The stage transforms into a workshop and confessional, where San Rodrigues conducts his performance with precise gestures and intense memories, using instruments such as violin, rabeca, and alfaia, interspersed with breaks for physical exercises and coffee brewed in an old coffee maker.
"The experience does not offer classes or practical exercises: it is an experimental show, a sensory and intuitive immersion in the birth of art. With each session, a new phase of the creation process is revealed — from the first contact with raw wood to the completion of the puppet, intertwined with childhood stories, ancestry, and the reconciliation of a riverside existence with urban life," highlights San Rodrigues.

Aurora, as the name suggests, deals with the birth of artistic creation. "Life, death, life. Passion and movement. Contrition, the search for inner peace, and redemption through the artistic object," explains the artist, who has dedicated over 15 years to the art of puppetry. The project for the show has been maturing over the past five years, and has reached the point where the construction of the puppet, which previously took months, is now completed in a single scenic act.
