The Hemotherapy and Hematology Center Foundation of Pará (Hemopa) mobilized volunteers across Pará during the Red June campaign. The action resulted in 10,066 blood donations at the state blood network units. This act of solidarity can benefit up to 40,264 patients in health treatments and procedures.

Created to reinforce the importance of regular and voluntary blood donation, Red June is a national awareness campaign, promoted in homage to World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14. Throughout Brazil, health institutions intensify actions to increase stocks and honor those who donate.

Held during the month of June, the campaign included a series of strategic collection actions, such as the traditional Donation Forrozão, featuring cultural performances, partner services, contests, and mobilization actions. Following this, the 8th edition of the Walk for Life was held, gathering donors, public servants, and partner institutions in a symbolic act through the streets of Belém, reinforcing collective engagement for blood donation.

“Red June had a significant number of donations, with over 10,000 collections effectively made. This result reflects the growing awareness of the population, the strengthening of partnerships with various institutions, and the adherence of new municipalities through our external campaigns throughout the state of Pará,” highlighted Paulo Bezerra, president of the Hemopa Foundation.

The active participation of solidarity caravans, public servants, and the support of institutions such as the Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA), Public Defender's Office of the State (DPE), Legislative Assembly (Alepa), Public Ministry of the State (MPPA), Secretary of Penitentiary Administration (Seap), and the Universal Church, which directly contributed to the success of the campaign on various fronts, was also fundamental.

Service – To donate, it is necessary to be healthy, aged between 16 and 69 years, weigh over 50 kg, and present an official photo ID. Donations can be made at Hemopa's headquarters, at the collection points in Metrópole and Castanheira shopping malls, or at units located in the interior of the state.
