Hospital do Marajó promotes June festivities and anticipates collections for the Solidarity Christmas
The unit provides medium and high complexity assistance and is located on Rio Branco Avenue, in the center of Breves.
The management of the Regional Public Hospital of Marajó (HRPM), in Breves, in the Marajó archipelago, has anticipated the collections for the "Solidarity Christmas" project, an initiative carried out annually by the unit aimed at making the end of the year more welcoming for families in situations of social vulnerability in the region.
This month, as part of this mobilization, the hospital promoted a series of activities with a June festival theme, aimed at raising funds for the purchase of basic food baskets that will be distributed in December. The program included the sale of typical June foods, friendship mail, and the traditional Miss and Mister Caipira contest.
The "Solidarity Christmas" project is in its 16th edition and reaffirms HRPM's social commitment to the Marajoara community, having benefited thousands of people over the past 15 years. Since the beginning of the initiative, 2,868 food baskets and 7,795 toys have been collected, intended for families in vulnerable situations.
In 2024, the Humanization Working Group (GTH) of the hospital collected 99 basic food baskets and 15 toys, which were delivered to patients hospitalized in the Pediatric Clinic, reinforcing the humanized care and social commitment of the institution.
"The Solidarity Christmas of HRPM is an incredible initiative that aims to bring hope and joy to countless families in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability in Marajó. This project not only provides the distribution of basic food baskets and gifts but also promotes a sense of solidarity and unity among the community," explained educator Rosângela Gonçalves, president of the Humanization Working Group (GTH).
Approval - User Ivanilsa Lima Pinheiro, 39, was one of the beneficiaries of the project in 2024. She praises the care and Christmas programming of HRPM, highlighting the attention and care of the professionals. "The professionals are very communicative, they explain everything very well. I am very happy to be here with my son, as we received excellent care," she stated.
Data - With the mobilization of the unit, the actions raised over R$ 3,000, an amount that will be converted into the purchase of approximately 30 basic food baskets.
The HRPM is part of the health network of the Government of Pará, being managed by the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa).
