At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Gurupi, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), located in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, 15 tons of thermoplastic resin, valued at R$ 43,500.00, and 16 tons of açaí were seized on Saturday (21).

The seizure of the açaí load occurred after the transporter presented an invoice with origin in Belém (PA) and destination João Pessoa (PB). “The inspection conducted a thorough analysis of the load, as the company was recently established, and it was found that it was frozen popular açaí,” informed state revenue inspector Gustavo Bozola.

In the presented tax documents, it was identified that the company was not a participant in the Simples Nacional, and did not highlight the ICMS, as required by law. The load, valued at R$ 88,320.00, was retained, and the Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, in the amount of R$ 16,957.44. Since it was a perishable good, the company remained as the faithful depositary.

Resin - “The transporting vehicle presented itself at the tax post and delivered an invoice for 500 bags of thermoplastic resin, each weighing 30 kilograms, stating the product's origin in Manaus (AM) and destination to São Luís (MA). The delivery of the Electronic Transport Knowledge Document (CTE) was requested to prove the effective exit from the State of Amazonas. The driver informed that he did not have it and asked to wait. After a few hours, the CTE was presented. However, it had just been issued. The correct procedure is to issue it when the load leaves the place of origin, not during the trip. Therefore, the document was disregarded by the inspection. The team concluded that there was no way the merchandise could be passing on the ferry at that time, as the vehicle with the load was in the yard and under inspection,” informed Gustavo Bozola, coordinator of the tax unit.

The merchandise was retained and the Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, in the amount of R$ 11,571.00, which was paid immediately and the load released.

Seizure of a jet ski heading to Marabá

Jet ski – In the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, southeastern Pará, a new jet ski, valued at R$ 115,000.00, coming from Parnaíba (PI), heading to Marabá (PA), was also seized on Saturday (21).

“The merchandise was covered by an invoice declaring internal sale in the State of Piauí, but was found physically entering Pará territory. Another invoice was also presented, regarding the transport trailer of the vehicle, issued in São Paulo (SP), with delivery declared for Marabá, also in the name of the same recipient,” reported the unit coordinator, Rafael Brasil.

The operation was classified as interstate sale to a final consumer who is not a taxpayer, with incidence of differential ICMS rate (Difal). A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, in the amount of R$ 13,913.58, referring to tax and fine.

Divergent information – Inspectors working in Itinga also seized on Saturday 444,848 plastic bottles, 309 thousand caps, and 330 thousand stoppers (plastic piece used in the internal part of a bottle neck), valued at R$ 150,570.99.

The load left Ananindeua (PA), heading to Itapevi (SP), accompanied by an invoice declaring a return of purchase for industrialization, referencing an operation carried out over a year ago. Discrepancies were identified between the quantities and values of the products, which disqualifies the nature of the return. In light of this, the TAD was issued, in the amount of R$ 25,295.93.
