Re-Pa fans participate in Sespa's action against viral hepatitis
The 'Yellow July' campaign was launched with rapid testing, vaccination against hepatitis B, and distribution of prevention materials during the classic match between Remo and Paysandu
The State Department of Public Health (Sespa) launched the Yellow July 2025 campaign with a major mobilization for the prevention of viral hepatitis this Saturday (21) at the Estádio Olímpico do Pará Jornalista Edgar Proença, the Mangueirão, during the match between Remo and Paysandu, the classic Re-Pa, valid for the Série B of the Brazilian Championship.

From 3 PM to 6:30 PM, fans of Remo and Paysandu, as well as the general public, had free access to rapid testing for hepatitis B and C, vaccination against hepatitis B - offered in partnership with the City Hall of Belém - and distribution of condoms and educational materials. The action took place at the access ramps on sides A and B of the stadium, with simultaneous service to both fan bases.
Strategy - “Starting 'Yellow July' at a high-visibility event like Re-Pa is strategic to expand the reach of our actions. Many people take advantage of this type of structure to get their first test or update their vaccination. We are talking about silent diseases, but with available treatment and, in some cases, even a cure. Prevention and early diagnosis save lives,” highlighted Caroline Figueiredo, state coordinator of Viral Hepatitis at Sespa.

The initiative is coordinated by Sespa, through the Department of Communicable Diseases (DCDT) and the State Coordination of Viral Hepatitis (CEHV), with support from the Health Project Throughout Pará and partnership with the Municipal City Hall of Belém.
Approval - Danilo Sodré, a fan of Remo, praised the action. “I believe it is important because it brings these health initiatives from Sespa closer to a large audience. The stadium receives a lot of people, especially on Re-Pa day, and this makes more people aware and seek the services that Sespa offers, such as vaccination, testing, and everything else,” said Danilo.
Lucas Ferreira, a fan of Paysandu, also took the opportunity. “I found it very valid! A lot of people come to the stadium and end up not going to the health center due to lack of time, or simply forgetting. Here it was easy. I arrived, took the test, and even got vaccinated. Congratulations to Sespa and the City Hall. This kind of thing is extremely important for the health of the crowd. And being at Re-Pa makes it even more attention-grabbing. I, being bicolor, took the opportunity and took care of myself,” he added.

Result of the classic - With a full stadium and the traditional rivalry atmosphere, the match ended with a score of 1x0 for Paysandu, in yet another edition of the biggest classic in the Northern Region.
The public health mobilization ensured service to hundreds of fans on both sides of the stands, without interfering with the safety and flow of the sporting event.
