Sefa seizes metal reservoir valued at R$ 312 thousand in the municipality of Dom Eliseu

State revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Itinga, in the municipality of Dom Eliseu, southeastern Pará, seized a metal reservoir with a capacity of 100 thousand liters, valued at R$ 312,500.00. The seizure occurred this Tuesday (17), and the metal structure left Vista Alegre do Alto/SP heading to Belém.
“The goods were sent to a legal entity that is not an ICMS taxpayer in the State of Pará. In these cases, the collection of the ICMS differential rate (DIFAL) in favor of the destination state is mandatory, as determined by current legislation. Since the tax was not collected, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 64,814.82, referring to the due ICMS and the applied fine,” said the coordinator of the tax unit, Rafael Brasil.
