The CNH Paid'égua program delivered driver's licenses to a thousand beneficiaries from the municipalities of Igarapé-Miri, Abaetetuba, and Moju. The new drivers received their licenses from the hands of Vice Governor Hana Ghassan and authorities on the morning of this Wednesday, the 18th, at the Usina da Paz in Abaetetuba.

Governor Helder Barbalho emphasized: "It is important for us to be able to meet the population with what they need. And the CNH Paid’égua is a program that will help people access the job market. At this moment of prosperity that we are experiencing in our State, with so much job creation, we have an increasingly skilled workforce. So it is an important moment because we strengthen the workforce and at the same time strengthen the economy of our State."

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan reinforced the importance of social projects in boosting the economy. "The state government, our government, has this mission to encourage. To promote, not only production but also people, especially those who need it the most. So it is a day of joy for us, with these deliveries that we know will make a difference in people's lives," she emphasized.

With a focus on social inclusion, the state government's program opens new job and income opportunities. More than 30% of the program's slots are filled by women. Farmer Claudia do Socorro Cardoso is among the beneficiaries.

“I signed up for the program thinking I wouldn’t pass, but thank God I was selected. At first, it was difficult, I took all the classes and thought I wouldn’t make it, but I passed on my first try. I am a farmer, and I make my living from the land, and this driver's license will help me a lot because with it I will be able to take everything I plant and grow to sell. I am happy to receive this driver's license. It was a distant dream, but today it is realized.”

With 60,000 guaranteed slots in 144 municipalities, the CNH Pai D'égua is the largest social program for free driver's license issuance in the country. With most slots designated for first-time licenses, the program also ensures driver's licenses for those who wish to change or add categories.

"It is gratifying to be here, in another municipality, delivering a thousand driver's licenses. Never has any state delivered so many social driver's licenses to the population that needs it the most. And once again, I thank you for trusting the program, the state government. Today, we are a reference throughout Brazil, delivering 60,000 free driver's licenses to the population," stated the general director of Detran, Renata Coelho.

The head of Detran added that the free program for beneficiaries costs the state over R$ 400 million. "The initiative represents jobs, increased income, and leisure for you. Today, a driver's license can cost up to 5,000 reais. So it is difficult for the population to have access. That is why the state government launched this project that is becoming a reference in Brazil," said Renata Coelho.
