Public Safety reinforces actions during the Corpus Christi holiday with over a thousand agents
State and municipal security forces carry out ostensive and preventive actions to ensure a peaceful and safe extended holiday in Pará

The Secretary of Public Safety and Social Defense of Pará (Segup), in conjunction with the State and Municipal Public Safety System agencies, launches this Thursday (19) Operation Corpus Christi 2025, with reinforcement in 33 locations across the State. The actions aim to ensure the safety and tranquility of the people of Pará who travel to beaches and resorts during the extended holiday, as well as around churches and public places with celebrations due to Corpus Christi. More than a thousand agents are mobilized, especially until next Monday (23).
Among the security actions established in the operational planning of the security system are preventive actions on roads, beaches, and resorts, the inspection of commercial establishments, nightclubs, and bars, "in addition to the reinforcement of ostensive and preventive actions, in order to ensure a normal extended holiday, points out Colonel PM Sérgio Neves, acting Secretary of Public Safety and Social Defense.

“We held meetings and a whole planning in advance so that all the defined actions can effectively occur and ensure safety for both those who will travel to the interior of the state, such as beaches and resorts, and for those who will remain in the RMB. Our goal is to ensure that everyone enjoys the extended holiday safely. Therefore, we will have a reinforcement of more than a thousand security agents, working in an integrated manner, whether in cities, roads, or beaches, to prevent and inhibit accidents and any criminal practices,” stated Colonel PM Neves.
Visibility during the departure and return from the Metropolitan Region of Belém
To ensure the orderly flow of traffic during the departure from the Metropolitan Region of Belém, there are integrated actions on the main highways and strategic points, in order to curb crimes and prevent accidents. The state and municipal traffic agencies, along with the Military Police and Fire Department, will reinforce inspection and monitoring in strategic locations.

Aerial Patrol - The Aerial Grouping (Graesp) will assist the security forces operating on the ground, supporting searches and rescues and also curbing crimes. The actions will be developed in the Salgado Region and in the RMB.
Dry Law - Acting jointly and integrated, the Military, Civil, and Scientific Police and agents from Detran will intensify actions to prevent and repress traffic crimes, especially driving under the influence of alcohol. The action will inspect attendees and bathers on the roads, highways, and beaches that provide access to the most sought-after locations by tourists.
Inspection in establishments - There will also be inspections in commercial establishments and nightclubs to verify the presence of children and adolescents at inappropriate times and consuming alcoholic beverages or using any other illegal substances. In addition to the administrative police work to verify the registration and licensing of establishments, restaurants, hotels, and similar.

Exclusion Zone and searches in Prison Units - Agents from Seap will act in the inspection of monitored individuals and in the recapture of fugitives and escapees from the Penal System. In addition to simultaneous searches in all prison units in Pará.
Identification and guidance on the beaches - The Fire Department will have a reinforcement of military personnel on the beaches with lifeguards and teams for the identification of children with wristbands. In addition to rescue teams located at strategic points on the roads.
Salinópolis - In one of the most sought-after resorts during extended holidays, Salinópolis, Segup will ensure the orderly flow of traffic on Atalaia beach, through the marking with flags along more than three kilometers on the sand. The marking is done daily to safeguard the traffic of pedestrians and vehicles that transit on one of the busiest beaches in the region, in order to avoid accidents for bathers and beachgoers at Atalaia beach.
Integration - Participating in the joint actions are the Civil, Military, and Scientific Police, Fire Department, State Traffic Department (Detran), Secretary of Penitentiary Administration, Aerial Security Group (Graesp), Municipal Guard of Belém, Secretary of Security, Public Order, and Mobility of Belém, in addition to the Secretary of Security and Social Defense of Marituba.
