The Government of Pará, through the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of the State of Pará (Emater - Pará), delivered, on the afternoon of this Monday (16), two vehicles to the Regional Office of Altamira, which serves various local integration offices in the Transamazon highway region.

“These deliveries come at a time when Emater Pará, in the Altamira region, has been monitoring the economic growth of the cocoa production chain and also of beef cattle, in addition to the development of dairy cattle,” said the supervisor of the Emater Regional Office of Altamira.

The deliveries were made by the president of Emater Pará, Joniel Abreu, at the Central Office, located on the BR-316 highway, in Marituba. For the president, initiatives like this seek to strengthen assistance and logistical support to local and regional offices in the 144 municipalities of Pará.

“These new vehicles will help in the development and mobility of our activities in this Altamira region, providing more support to family farmers, also strengthening the expansion of the economic development of our state,” he stated.

Integration - Only the Regional Office of Altamira serves ten municipalities and according to the regional supervisor, one of the vehicles will be sent to the municipality of Brasil Novo, where partnerships through a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the city hall are advancing for further support to farmers in the region.

“In Brasil Novo, one of the vehicles will help the fleet of this municipality, which has a significant presence in cocoa cultivation, as well as in cattle farming, both beef and dairy. It will also assist in the deliveries of the national register of family farming, the rural environmental register, rural credit, among other benefits, which will help in building a fairer, more sustainable, and supportive rural world that Emater has been seeking,” he concluded.
