Hemopa Foundation and hospital network align strategies to strengthen donor recruitment
Event brings together health professionals to reinforce donor recruitment strategies and expand partnerships with the hospital network

The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa), through the Donor Recruitment Management (Gecad), held a meeting on Monday (16) at its headquarters located in the Batista Campos neighborhood in Belém, aimed at strengthening mobilization actions for voluntary blood donation. The initiative brought together institution staff to align strategies, value the work developed by the sector, and encourage continuous engagement in recruitment campaigns.
The activity is part of the June Red program — a month dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation — and reinforces the actions of World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14.
The program included presentations of results, exchange of experiences and best practices, as well as tributes to the team responsible for promoting the culture of donation. The relevance of partnerships with public institutions, private companies, and civil society to maintain safe stock levels throughout the state was also highlighted.
One of the highlights of the event was the round table with the theme “Hemopa and Hospital Network: a shared responsibility in preserving life,” aimed at health professionals from the public and private networks. The debate focused on the role of hospitals in promoting voluntary donation, sharing experiences of sensitizing patients, families, and technical teams.
The technical director of Hemopa, hematologist Larissa Frances, emphasized the importance of the work developed by the recruitment team. “Without the recruiters, the work simply does not happen. They are on the front lines, in hospitals, where the demand exists. Anyone can be a recruiter; just share the importance of this gesture,” she stated.
For social worker and Recruitment Manager Juciara Farias, the event represented a space for learning and integration. “It was a very rich exchange; we heard reports of successful experiences in hospitals. It is essential that the entire hospital team — and not just the patients' families — is committed to the cause of donation,” she highlighted.
During the round table, biomedical Aline Pardauil from Jean Bittar Hospital shared practices adopted by the unit. “It is gratifying to see our work recognized. Sharing these experiences strengthens the entire network and helps keep Hemopa's stocks always replenished,” she concluded.
