Forensic Police assists action of the Specialized Police Station for the Care of Children and Adolescents
Operation carried out search and seizure at the residences of three suspects in the neighborhoods of Reduto and Castanheira, in Belém, and in the neighborhood of Atalaia, in Ananindeua

Criminal experts from the Information Technology Forensics Management (GPI), of the Forensic Police of Pará (PCEPA), participated on the morning of this Monday (16) in Operation Iris, launched by the Specialized Police Station for the Care of Children and Adolescents (DEACA), of the Civil Police of Pará. The operation carried out search and seizure at the residences of three suspects, in the neighborhoods of Reduto and Castanheira, in Belém, and in the neighborhood of Atalaia, in Ananindeua.
The operation resulted in one man being arrested for possession of child pornography in the Castanheira neighborhood. A cell phone containing this type of criminal content was found with him. In the Reduto neighborhood, a computer and a cell phone were seized.

According to criminal expert Marcelo Maués, the devices underwent preliminary inspections at the seizure locations, but a thorough analysis will be conducted in the laboratory. “With the use of forensic tools, we will be able to extract and analyze the data in detail. This process is essential for the production of forensic evidence,” he explained.
The search and seizure was authorized by the 1st Inquiry Court of the Court of Justice. “We received reports that the suspects had groups on messaging apps, such as Telegram, and that they exchanged child pornography material. We investigated and requested search and seizure at the targets' addresses,” stated the head delegate of the Specialized Police Station for the Care of Children and Adolescents, Danielle Ambrósio.

“The Forensic Police is of utmost importance, as it provides the technical support for us to verify the origin of the complaint and, if it is valid, we can carry out the arrest in flagrant,” added the delegate.
