Government of Pará delivers 617 land titles in Capanema for the benefit of communities
The action reaffirms the state government's commitment to ensuring legal security for families in rural areas and access to social benefits

Governor Helder Barbalho delivered 617 property titles to families in the rural area of Capanema, in the northeastern region of Pará. The event took place on Saturday (14) at the municipal headquarters.
During the event, Helder Barbalho reinforced the state government's commitment to ensuring legal security for the communities involved.
“We are delivering the 14th Peace Plant, as well as a land regularization program. It is the government of Pará working for Capanema, taking care of the people and advancing in a better Capanema and a better Pará,” declared the governor.
The initiative benefited 17 communities, including localities such as Brasso Grande and Vila Ucuúba, and is part of the land regularization policy of Iterpa.

Since 2019, 1,612 titles have been delivered in Capanema, positioning the municipality in fifth place in the state of Pará in terms of land regularization.
The work is essential to combat issues such as land grabbing and illegal deforestation, ensuring greater sustainability in the region.

Antônio de Marciano de Lima, a farmer and resident of the Brasso Grande community, expressed his satisfaction upon receiving the property title. He mentioned that the residents' expectations were high and the delivery was received with joy. "It is a happiness, right? Now I am the legitimate owner of the land," he stated, emphasizing the importance of official recognition for his community.

Another impactful testimony was from Antônia Alessandra Soares da Silva, 36 years old. She has lived in the same locality since she was born and has always planted cassava, beans, and corn. When informed about the delivery of the document, Antônia was emotional. “When they called, I was happy. I am happy with this idea of getting the land document,” she said, highlighting the importance of the document for legal security and her family's future.

The land regularization action not only grants the property title but also promotes a safer environment for residents. Ensuring land ownership is a significant step for many families who have struggled for years to formalize their properties and secure their rights. The delivery of the documents is seen as a local victory, reflecting the state government's efforts to improve the quality of life in rural areas.

With the delivery of the 617 titles, the government of Pará reaffirms its active role in promoting citizenship and dignity for the residents of Capanema. The words of farmer Antônia encapsulate this sentiment: "we waited a long time for this title. Now we are very happy.”
