On the morning of this Friday (13), the Canine Action Battalion (BAC) of the Military Police of Pará participated in the Solidarity Festival promoted by the Octávio Lobo Children's Oncology Hospital in Belém. The main objective of the event was to collect toys for children undergoing cancer treatment.
Represented by military personnel Sergeant Tayana, Corporal Samara, and Corporal Bryan, the BAC team brought the working dog Alecrim to the hospital, who participated in the parade in the "Mister Caipira Pet" category. The participants' scores were linked to the number of toys collected. With over 300 donated items, Alecrim scored 871 points and was the grand winner of his category.

Alecrim did not spare any charm during the Solidarity Festival, winning the title of Mister Caipira Pet and bringing joy to the kids and their families at the Solidarity Festival

The solidarity event collected over 2,000 toys, which will be distributed throughout the year to the children served by the hospital unit. The action reinforces the Military Police's commitment to promoting citizenship and solidarity, bringing the corporation closer to the community through gestures that bring joy and hope.

For Lieutenant Marina, the initiative has a value that goes beyond competition: “Seeing the children's smiles and knowing that our dog's presence brought lightness to such a sensitive environment is something that deeply moves us. These actions reinforce the social role of the Military Police and show that we are here not only to protect but also to care,” highlighted the officer.
